A One-Stop Shop for Token Utility

It’s official. We have an App Store - a feature we wanted to build in response to the desire from creators to maintain consistent activity around their token after minting. In many ways, the App Store is an answer to the question: I have a token, NOW WHAT?

Why the App Store?

The idea behind this new feature is to consistently provide artists building on-chain with the ability to engage their communities across a variety of platforms. We want to make it easy for folks to build robust ecosystems, and we want to provide a blueprint for how people can incentivize ongoing community engagement.

Simply put, we want creators to be able to give their engaged collectors and supporters fun things to do with the rewards they’ve earned for their ongoing loyalty.

It’s also about giving freshly minted creators more autonomy. For a while, we were making valuable connections between creators and third party platforms that could provide interesting community engagement opportunities. And that was great. But now, those opportunities can be accessed and unlocked autonomously for all P00LS creators via the App Store, which lives inside the Creator Portal.

Rewarding a community with non-transferrable tokens often begs the question: “this is cool…but what value do my tokens have?”. We like to remind people that there’s something inherently valuable about earning loyalty points according to impactful actions. That there’s something inherently valuable about knowing that the artists you support KNOW who you are and take the time to recognize your ongoing support. BUT, we also know the importance of being able to say: the value your tokens have (beyond everything we just said) is that they unlock access to exclusive content and experiences.

Something else to note is that we often hear from our creators that their crypto endeavors take up a lot of their time…while often trying to juggle jobs and other day-to-day priorities. Basically, life is jam-packed. So we wanted to solve the utility problem by not only simplifying it, but also by simplifying implementation! Long story short: our Apps are and will be quick to integrate into all the parts of a creator’s on-chain ecosystem.

At launch, the App Store features integrations with Bonfire and MadFi, along with new Top Holder Badge campaigns native to P00LS.

We’ll spend the next couple of weeks diving into both currently featured Apps to give creators & readers a better sense of the opportunities each can unlock. Bonfire will help folks integrate their tokens into their own websites - helping to centralize projects and bring their token to the center of all they do. MadFi offers opportunities to post and gate exclusive content. Breakdown coming soon!

The native P00LS Badge App will allow creators to distribute badges to their community to build social proof and a greater sense of belonging. Who doesn’t love to earn a badge of honor? And in our eyes, ongoing engagement & loyalty are the greatest honor.

Continuous Evolution

Looking ahead, P00LS is committed to expanding the App Store with a variety of applications. Each will be chosen for its potential to enhance token utility and for its ability to integrate effortlessly into the diverse worlds of creators. This strategy involves active collaboration with creators, taking their input to heart in developing tools that are not just technologically sound but also closely aligned with their needs and aspirations.
